Read this book. It succeeds where all the others have failed. Kind-hearted and wild, Adam led a life that lacked direction. God, a woman, and the U. Navy gave it to him. There is no greater love than that a man lay down his life for his friends. Adam Brown never had to worry. His life was about love: love of God, family, friends, country, his fellow SEALs, and the Afghan children who worshipped him. In his latest book, Fearless, Eric Blehm does a marvelous and moving job uncovering the man—the men—beneath the SEAL mythology of elite, rock-hard warriors, renowned for their courage and skill.
The SEALs in Fearless hug their children, seek comfort from their wives, wear Batman briefs, answer to names like Big Bird and Fozzy, mourn lost buddies, and risk their lives to rescue civilians from the field of fire. This is a stirring, revelatory, heartbreaking story. Adam was a warrior in the truest sense—courageous, compassionate, intrepid, and humble. And his dedication to God, country, family, and the Brotherhood was genuine and exceptional. This book will motivate you to challenge yourself to be…fearless.
And who will go for us? Send me! Fearless is a clear and deeply honest portrait of an authentic American man who lived and loved with an intrepid personal velocity. For most of us, the failures and disappointments in life take their toll. Not for Adam Brown. His commitment to his family and his friends helped forge Adam Brown into the rarest of warriors. Long live the Brotherhood. Anyone looking for an inspiring story of inner strength and courage will be richly rewarded by this book. Click here to download chapter one of Fearless.

Tuesday, November 4, Book Review: Fearless Eric Blehm I usually keep Tuesdays post-free on my blog, but every so often, perhaps once or twice a month, there will be an extra book review surprise, surprise. Let it never be said that I take for granted for one second, one breath, the freedom I and my fellow countrymen stateside have been afforded by the selflessness, sacrifice, dedication, and commitment of the members of the United States military, past and present, who work so tirelessly on our behalf. Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown , killed in Afghanistan in March , is a man whose valor, honor, integrity, strength, character, and courage remain powerfully inspirational, and whose unhesitating sacrifice and unwavering faith strengthened his brothers in arms and his family and friends long after his death. Marijuana became cocaine became crack, and before long, he was stealing from his own family members and friends just to get high again. Two stints in rehabilitation facilities finally left him clean and sober, and only months later, he met Kelley, his future wife. Much of the book is told through her memories and reconstructed conversations with Adam, as she held him accountable through dating and then during marriage, even when he slipped back into his old habits. Besides his renewed faith in God, to whom Adam dedicated himself completely and unashamedly, service with the United States military saved his life, both literally and figuratively.
